Apologies Only Count If They Are Sincere. If You Don’t Mean It, Save Your Breath.
If you are truly sorry, be sincere about it and please mean it. Try not to apologize for anything and everything and just toss around the words “I’m sorry” like it’s nothing. There should be no reason why you should apologize that often. Either you mean it or you should learn from the lesson it taught the first time you apologized in that instance.
If you find yourself saying “sorry” too often, it will lose its meaning, especially if you’re apologizing to the same person over and over again.
Also, I would suggest not to ever follow up your apology with “I said I was sorry!” Or something equivalent. It usually doesn’t help with the sincere part.
This goes for both ladies and gentlemen. If you don’t mean it, save your breath. Apologize when it’s sincere.
